Subject: Week 3 - Lincoln-Lakeway Community Survey

Good morning! 

This is the final week to fill out the Online Link to the Community Survey for our Lincoln-Lakeway Multimodal Transportation Study. This important multi-agency transportation study involves the City, WSDOT, WTA, WCOG, and TranspoGroup transportation consultants and this is how we identify major transportation improvements and costs that we can then try to seek state and federal grant funding to construct in the coming years. 

We’ve had a good response rate during the first two weeks, but the survey is open until 5:00pm on Monday, June 1 and I’m asking you to please once again forward the link to the community survey to all of those on your neighborhood association email rosters or other forms of communication that you use for neighborhood purposes.  If you think that having some paper copies of the survey would be helpful, including a version translated into Spanish, then you can email me and we’ll set up a time to talk and make arrangements for this.

I had originally planned to come to your neighborhood associations this spring to present the study purpose and have discussion with you all.  In addition, a public Open House was going to be scheduled for this autumn, but due to COVID-19, we cannot currently have public gatherings and we do not know when that will be a possibility.  That makes this community survey that much more important for you to pass along to the residents of your neighborhood so that we can understand neighborhood resident perspective on the transportation systems in this portion of this City, which is experiencing growth and change.  As stated above, the survey will open May 11 and will close on June 1.  I’m hopeful that there will be opportunities for neighborhood meetings and a public Open House at a centrally-located venue in the future, but we will have to wait and see.
